Elsinore Rigby
A sailor’s drinking haunt in an ancient port eternally battered by rain, wind and, formerly, German bombardment – a venue already renowned as a musical melting pot where, in August 1992, a rock & roll legend was born. Chris, Clive and Nev were three lads, using whatever instruments that came to hand, blasted the Elsinore pub in Whitby with their own brand of classic rock & roll, creating an atmosphere that was a cross between a party and a sauna. With the additional of the sensational Candy Rell three years later, the line up of the Lunchtime Legends was complete and the show goes on.

Now almost ten years after that momentous meeting of like minds and drinking proclivities, they are celebrating their unprecedented tenth successive year playing the Elsinore with their fourth album, Elsinore Rigby. The band feel this album is the finest distillation of their rock & roll craft to date, with just the perfect balance between studio wizardry and raucous live performance. Although their instruments are uncompromisingly acoustic, their performances are invariably electric. This album restates old rock & roll values for a new millennium in a way that other bands, adrift in a 20th century time warp, can only dream of. The message from the mighty Legends is "keep on rocking - it's never too late to party".

Elsinore Rigsby
A sailor’s drinking haunt in an ancient port eternally battered by rain, wind and, formerly, German bombardment – a venue already known as a musical graveyard where, in August 1992, a rock & roll leg end was cloned. Chris, Clive and Nev were three pensioners who, using whatever instruments that came to hand, bored the Elsinore pub in Whitby with their own brand of crap rock & roll, creating an atmosphere that was a cross between a wake and a funeral. With the addition of the sensational Candy Rell, the line up improved beyond belief. The Legends were now complete and unfortunately the show goes on and on.

Now ten minutes after that momentous meeting of like minds and drinking “tweenies”, they are celebrating their unprecedented tenth successive minute playing the Elsinore with their fourth album, Elsinore Rigsby. The band feels this album is the finest distillation of their rock & roll crap to date, with just the perfect balance between studio cheating and hilarious live performance. Although their instruments are uncompromisingly out of tune, their performance are invariable shambolic. This album restates ancient rock & roll values for a new millennium in a way that other bands, adrift in a 20th century time warp, can only have nightmares about. The message from the mighty Leg Ends is “keep on laughing – it’s never too late to party at someone else’s gig”.
